Validating Extensions in Case Creator Attachments
A setting is made in the Windows service ArandaCaseCreator_Mail to validate the extensions allowed in attachments during case creation.
The allowed extensions are set in the Aranda.ACC.Windows.Service.exe.config of the service ArandaCaseCreator_Mail.
If you require the modification of the allowed extensions, perform the following procedure:
1. Access the installation path of Aranda Case Creator
(Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Aranda\Aranda Case Creator).
2. Open the file Aranda.ACC.Windows.Service.exe.config.
3. Locate the section appSettings.
4. Modify the key value acceptExtensions, adding or removing required extensions.
⚐ Notes:
- Extensions should be separated by commas (,).
- No blank spaces should be included.
5. Save the changes and restart the service ArandaCaseCreator_Mail for the setting to take effect.
⚐ NOTES OR ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Run the “Aranda.ASDK.Web.Installer.exe” file and follow the installer’s instructions.
- The executable file functions as both an installer and an update tool.
- This update applies only to databases in version 8.0.171.
- If you have any custom settings in the web.config files, you must reapply the setting.
- Aranda Service Desk consoles that use rich text control are only supported up to IE10. Alternatively, other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox can be used.
- Tags corresponding to HTML fields such as description, solution and notes, will not apply style changes.
