Within the field operation, it is common to use inventory items to fulfill planned services. In all cases, it is important to have the reference of the place where an inventory item is located and to know its exact location.
To this end, the inventory module was created, which allows parts to be related to places. Spare parts can be in the company’s warehouses, they can be delivered to specialists or decommissioned due to damage or delivery to customers. At any time, a user with the Inventory Manager role can find where a part is located through the serial number.
Basic materials that do not need to have an exact reference of the material can be used in the operation, e.g. laces, paint, syringes or cable. In other cases, they may be more specific spare parts, such as electronic devices. The latter always have a serial for follow-up.
Regarding locations, an administrator can create sets that allow him to organize all kinds of material. Thus, the inventory manager will be able to create the entries and know exactly which warehouse has which elements. Depending on the configuration, alarms can be created that tell the inventory manager when the quantity of items reaches a certain point.
The way in which specialists collect inventory items corresponds to a process defined by the company. In general, AFLS tells them what inventory they need for the execution of the orders and depending on the process, the specialists go to the warehouses to claim them.
Mobile specialists can see for each work order the proposed inventory, but more importantly, they can make changes, defining exactly which items they used and were delivered to each customer.
