    Software Management, Licensing and Use

Having a clear organization of a company’s licenses is an important item in asset management. You need to have administrative tools for the assigned license inventory. Within the management of software licensing and use, the following stages are developed:

    1. Licensing

This functionality allows you to discover the licenses installed on inventoried computers and identify licensed and unlicensed software; You will be able to consult and track licensing information such as expiration verification, assignment of licenses on devices and configuration of alerts or notifications in expiring licenses.

Note: When your organization has device targeting configured, the software licensing permission on the associated device group determines the information that the user can access: active and available licenses remain consistent for all users, while assigned licenses and installations distinguish between those on accessible devices and those on other devices; the list of licensed devices shows only those that the user has access to.

For more information, see the Software Management and Licensing .

    2. Use of Software

Detect and understand user software usage levels on a specific device while maintaining centralized control of assets. Here you can view the data on the use of software by the user on the devices, according to what is parameterized in the agent profile, in the software licensing and measurement section.

Note: When your organization has device targeting set up, the display of this data also depends on the software usage permissions in the associated device group. If the user does not have that permission, the information will not be available for viewing.
