    CMDB Roles and Permissions

    The roles and permissions are detailed below with their respective description, which you can later configure in the console ASMSAdministrator in the session of Roles.


    CI Additionals Administrator

    Allows you to configure additional fields in the Configuration Items (CI) form, where you define custom attributes—text, date, list, numeric, or catalog—that complement the standard information in a CI and that may depend on other fields or associated catalogs.

    CI Approvals Administrator

    Allows you to configure the approval flows that are executed before applying a change to a configuration item (CI), defining the internal or client voters that participate, the required voting threshold, and the states that the CI passes to based on the outcome of the vote.

    CI Folders Administrator

    It allows you to manage the folders that hierarchically organize the configuration items (CI’s) within the CMDB, facilitating their classification and location.

    Folders.GetObject It allows you to consult the detail of a CI folder.
    Folders.Update Allows you to edit the name or structure of a CI folder.

    CI.Folders It allows you to visualize the folder structure of the CI’s.


    CI Manager

    It is the most far-reaching role for the management of configuration items (CI’s): in addition to allowing you to create, edit, delete and directly query the CI’s, it groups the read-only access to the platform’s cross-cutting catalogs – categories, groups, projects, suppliers, users, models, statuses, services, SLAs, additional fields, relationships, templates and mail servers – that the CI form needs to populate its combos and cross-references when creating or editing a configuration item.

    CI Rules Administrator

    It allows you to configure the business rules of the configuration elements (CI’s), where the conditions are defined that, when met, trigger an automation on the CI.

    CI Status Administrator

    It allows you to configure the lifecycle states of configuration items (CI’s) – for example, new, in use or decommissioned – as well as the transitions allowed between them and the reasons associated with each state change.

    CI Types Administrator

    Allows you to configure the configuration item types (models) available in the CMDB, where you define the categories that classify a CI and determine the field template that is displayed on your form.

    CI Interface Administrator

    It allows you to configure the interface of the configuration elements (CI’s) form, defining which fields are visible, mandatory or editable according to the status of the CI.

    Interface.List Allows you to consult the list of interface configurations defined for the CI’s.

    Maintenance Task Administrator

    It allows you to manage the tasks associated with a maintenance, including their sequence and the dependencies between them (for example, that one task cannot start until another is finished), as visualized in the maintenance planning diagram.

    Tasks.Add It allows you to create a new task within a maintenance, defining its duration and its dependency relationship with other tasks.
    Tasks.Update Allows you to edit an existing task of a maintenance (duration, dependencies, order).
    Tasks.Delete Allows you to delete a task configured within a maintenance.
    Tasks.List Allows you to consult the list of tasks configured for maintenance.
    Tasks.GetObject Allows you to consult the detail of a maintenance task.
    Maintenance.Tasks It allows you to visualize, from the maintenance, the tasks associated with it.


    Maintenance Time Administrator

    It allows you to manage the SLA times applicable to a maintenance, where the start, execution and closing conditions, the expected time goal and the percentage of compliance are defined, configurable by priority.

    Times.Add It allows you to create a new service time for maintenance, defining its start, execution and closure condition, and its compliance goal.
    Times.Update Allows you to edit an existing service time of maintenance.
    Times.Delete It allows you to eliminate a configured service time for maintenance.
    Times.List It allows you to consult the list of service times configured for maintenance.
    Times.GetObject It allows you to consult the detail of a maintenance service time.
    Maintenance.Times It allows you to visualize, from the maintenance, the service times applicable to it.


    Audits Administrator

    It allows you to manage configuration item audits: programmable activities, with start and end dates, that are executed on a set of associated CI’s to verify their information.

    Audits.List It allows you to consult the list of scheduled or executed audits on the ICs.
    Audits.Add It allows you to create a new audit, defining its start and end date, the person responsible and the CI’s it includes.
    Audits.Update Allows you to edit an existing audit (dates, manager, associated CI’s).
    Audits.Delete Allows you to delete a configured audit.
    Audits Allows access to the audit management screen.
    Audits.GetObject It allows you to consult the details of an audit, including the CI’s that are associated with it.


    Packages Administrator

    Allows access to the software or hardware package management screen. In the data model, a package is a particular type of configuration item (CI), so the actions of creating, editing, and deleting a package are controlled with the same generic CI permissions (Cis.Add, Cis.Update, Cis.Delete), not with package-specific permissions.

    CI Risk Administrator

    It allows you to manage the risk level rules applicable to configuration items (CIs): numerical ranges that, evaluated against the cumulative score of a risk question questionnaire, determine whether the resulting level is Low, Medium or High. As long as the IQ risk questionnaire remains to be answered in a state that requires it, the system blocks the transition to that state.

    Risks.Update Allows you to edit an existing risk rule of the CI’s.

    Maintenances Manager

    Operational management role (not administrative configuration) on the maintenance already created: allows you to create, edit, close, reopen and delete maintenance relationships, manage its tasks, notes and attachments (even in a closed state), as well as consult the shared catalogs of the platform (categories, projects, groups, suppliers, users, models, statuses, services, SLA’s, additional fields, templates, views) necessary to operate the maintenance day by day.

    Groups.ListArea Allows you to view the areas/workgroups associated with a project, used to determine who can be assigned maintenance.

    Integrations.Update It allows you to modify the configuration of an existing integration, for example the external source or the synchronization parameters with the CI’s.

    Integrations.Add It allows you to create a new integration to synchronize CI’s with an external source of asset discovery.
    Integrations.Delete Allows you to delete a configured integration, stopping the synchronization of CIs with the associated external source.
    CI.Integrations It allows you to visualize, from the CI, the integrations with external sources associated with it.


    Maintenance Status Administrator

    Allows you to manage the lifecycle states of a maintenance (e.g., new, running, or completed), including the allowed transitions between them.

    Maintenance Risk Administrator

    It allows you to manage the risk level rules applicable to maintenance: numerical ranges that, evaluated against the cumulative score of a questionnaire of risk questions, determine whether the resulting level is Low, Medium or High.
